Ana Paula, daughter of a Baptist Minister, is a singer and songwriter of gospel music and is the leader of Diante do Trono in Brazil. She studied Law at UFMG, and later decided to join Christ for the Nations in 1996 in the United States. Ana Paula is a lyric soprano, and is known for her musical range and vocal quality. In 1998 she recorded her first album, entitled “Before the Throne” which began the Ministry of Praise. Ana Paula and her 50-member band became well known for the large number of people drawn to their annual live recordings. In 2003 over two million people attended their live recording in Sao Paulo. They have released over 25 albums, won 20 talent trophies and have sold more than 8 million records. Ana Paula features as a worship leader in “The Snare” movie. She could potentially attract millions of fans. Brazil has a large population of Christians. Many of these are already fans of Ana Paula Valadao and Jotta. A.
